Daniel Ochoa

Daniel Ochoa (b. 1997) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Miami, Florida. Ochoa received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the New World School of the Arts – University of Florida (2021). Inspired by his Cuban and Colombian heritage, Ochoa explores the intersection of ancestral techniques with contemporary design principles in his work. Ochoa blends traditional woodworking and textiles with innovative, contemporary approaches, characterized by a bold synthesis of ancient methods and futuristic aesthetics, exploring themes of identity, the cyclical nature of life, and the juxtaposition between opposing ideas, materials, and techniques.

Selected solo exhibitions include The Anatomy of an Object (2025), Quiet Hours, Miami; and Quiet Hours Booth (2025), SCOPE Art Show, Miami Beach. Selected group exhibitions include Unspecified Void (2021), The Moore Building, Miami; Night at the Museum (2026), The Bass Museum of Art, Miami; and Florida Room V: High Summer (2026), KDR, Miami.

Ochoa received the SCOPE Art Show PAMM Prize (2025), and his work is held in the Pérez Art Museum Miami's permanent collection.
