Siri Burt is a New York-based artist working across photography and ceramics. A graduate of the School of
Visual Arts, her photographic practice expanded into ceramics following time spent in Rome, building upon a longstanding connection to the medium through her family. Burt’s works begin in clay and incorporate photographic waterslide transfers drawn from Renaissance narratives, translating images between two- and
three-dimensional forms. Through this interplay of image and object, her practice explores materiality, storytelling and the shifting possibilities of representation.
