Jeremy Brown

An Enneagram is a system designed to be insightfully descriptive, a way of understanding people in terms of their emotional motivations and fears, and Jeremy Brown’s Enneagram (Enneagram Five, described to be cerebral, perceptive, and insightful) is spot on. Other notable examples of Enneagram Five are Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, Albert Einstein, and Jane Goodall. His energy is calming and serene, his way of life is contemplative and inventive. Naturally an introvert, Jeremy is often exploring the facets of his mind. He is grounded in mediation and the study of brain wave activation. His time is spent connecting with nature and in his gallery creating art. Support and inspiration are derived from his community, a second family, comprising like-minded people who are open and vulnerable to the experience of life. On days when positivity is harder to muster, refuge is sought outside of art and he finds gratitude in humility and unconditional love. He sees art and creativity continually intertwining with the future he’s building with his wife. For Jeremy, it's “life first, art second.”

Jeremy uses canvas and paint as a medium to learn and grow as an artist and a human. He strives to create works that are original and tell a story. The peak in his process is always beholden to the current moment. Messaging on Jeremy’s artwork is set organically askew atop layers of brightly colored markings, added with the intention of positive energy and inspiration. When he is finished, each piece is unique and takes on its own life. His favorite piece is always the one he's working on now, never the one before or the one that will come after. The canvas is his daily journal and the notes are always intentional - a sort of daily affirmation portrayed as a simple message. Communication through canvas is intended to be a source of light and support, he shares with me messaging from Tibetan Buddhism, “individual happiness is tied to the happiness of others.”
